O'Connor Park Completed

The redevelopment of O'Connor Park Stadium was completed in May 2010 and on Saturday evening last played host to a crowd of over 12,000 Laois and Meath fans for the replay of their Leinster football semi-final.

The stadium received considerable praise in the Irish Independent on 21/06/2010 from Eugene McGee when he stated "O'Connor Park is now full Croke Park size, having been widened and lengthened with the recent magnificent refurbishment of the venue -- which must now be regarded as the best in the country in every facility required for a modern medium-sized stadium"
